| wwe, what version of windows are you running? Are you using a wi-fi router? What browser is this happening on? Have you tried another browser to see if the same thing happens on all browsers you use? Try these 2 things, and if neither works, give me the information I asked for above: 1. restore your computer to a day/time before this problem started. Does this fix it? If not.... 2. Start > Run > type cmd. On the command line that appears, type the following exactly as shown below: netsh winsock reset Check it now. Is it working? If not, you may need to reset the TCP/IP stack, but I need to know your version of Windows to tell you what to do. If you've reached this point and still haven't fixed the problem, please provide all the info I asked for at the beginning of this post. _________________ Repa

| I'm running windows and it happens in firefox. I don't use IE. and Chrome has a viruses I think or is giving me them as like i keep getting threats when I use it so I quit and did a clean... I think it's working, kinda anyway. It happens at random times. Like today both our pc's went out. I'm uisng it where I have a network chord going into a router, idk what it's called though. |

| It's difficult for me to help if you don't answer my questions. What version of Windows are you using - XP? Vista? Did you do the things I suggested and did they have any impact? You are connected to the router by an ethernet cable. Interesting that 2 computers are having the same difficulty - do I understand you correctly - this is happening on more than one computer? Does it happen only with Firefox browser, or IE too? If you haven't tried IE, do so. Are there particular sites where you have the problem and no where else, or does it happen on any site? _________________ Repa

| Sorry, I meant to say windows vista and it's only happening on mine. It hasn't did it today though. I said it only happens on random sites. I typed in some type of ipconfig in the run box(i forget what it was I found it on the net) and it hasn't did it since lastnight... so it may be fixed. I did that thing you told me to type in b4 when I first got this internet, and that helped speed it up. It did it on all browsers. IDK how I'm connected, it's by a cord that I plug into the network slot; so I assume it's a Ethernet cable. |
