I don't think this has been asked before, but if so, I apologize! I have the free Avast! and it says now that our subscription is up. It keeps popping up on the desktop computer whenever we turn it on. Will it just go away...or do they do that on purpose so a person gets tired of it popping up and will buy the paid version to stop the annoying pop-up? Should I switch to AVG? Am I still protected? I've noticed that it doesn't update on its own anymore. Updating manually isn't a problem.

Hi Ruth,

I have the free AVAST. You have to register even the free one. See if you can register it.
