Repa,

About 30 minutes ago, I had to leave the computer for about 4-5 minutes. When I returned, there was a balloon in the task tray, saying click balloon to back up files, & click balloon to see the files. Being curious, I clicked it, and the danged thing opened up Internet Explorer.

Do you know if that is anything to be concerned about?

No, does it give you a path for backing up a file? If it happens again, check that, and let me know what it tells you. With all the things you've been telling me about lately, I'm beginning to suspect malware. Have you run any scans lately?

No, does it give you a path for backing up a file? No path. It just took me to IE home page, the same page as when I would click Internet Explorer, from the short cut on my desk top. When IE was opened up, upon clicking the balloon, my Firefox browser was still left open. With that said, I had suspected malware also, but, since IE did not replace Firefox, I'm not so sure now. If it was malware wouldn't Firefox have closed, when IE opened up?

Have you run any scans lately? Yes, I scanned with A-Squared, and Ad-Aware on 4/16/09, but, in normal mode. Nothing found with either.

Is that ballon still popping up? If it is, run ccleaner and then do scans in Safe Mode in the Administrator account with all your scanners and Avast as well.

Is that balloon still popping up? No, it was just a one time thing.
You just reminded me of a question I've had about Avast. I'll post in a new thread.
