Never even touched the cursor on my chosen number… Once, I did not even follow the directions, just looked at the number and she still got it! This will drive you crazy ~ You’ve got to try this! http://www.regiftable.com/regiftingrobinpopup.html |

| I found this explantion looking around the net: It tells you to think of a two-digit number (e.g. 12). Then it tells you to subtract from that number each digit (e.g. 12-1-2=9). You will notice that no matter how many times you try it, you will always have a resulting number that is divisible by 9 (9,18,27,36,etc). This is done because you are subtracting the number in the ones digit (2 in this case) which leaves you with a multiple of 10. Then you will subtract the number in the tens place which will result in a multiple of 9, because for every TEN you have, you subtract ONE...hence TEN minus ONE equals 9. (e.g. 20-2=18; 50-5=45) So once you are assured of a multiple of 9, you will also note that each multiple of 9 has the same gift (or other answer) in the spot (e.g. 9=ball, 18=ball, 27=ball, etc.). The trick (with any trickery type of thing such as this) is to change the items listed each time. If you get a ball every time, you might be suspicious, but since the site automatically changes from a ball one time, then a scarf, then a phone, and so on, it seems as if they are actually reading your mind... source: http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=836021 |

| wwe I didn't figure it out either, but after you posted your explanation I went back and took a look using algebra (don't know if you have had algebra yet) Any 2 digint number can be expressed as X* 10 + y where x is the first digit and y is the 2nd digit examples: 32: 3*10 + 2 = 30 + 2 = 32 45: 4*10 + 5 = 40 + 5 = 45 so : if we start with: x * 10 + y first subtract the 2nd digit ( x * 10 + y) - y = x * 10 + y - y = x * 10 nuow subract the first ditit (x * 10) - x = 10x - 1x = x(10-1) = x * 9 so it is always a mulitiple of 9 taking our 2 exmaples from above 32: 3*10 +2 subtract the 2nd digit (3 * 10 + 2) - 2 = 3 * 10 + 2 - 2 = 3 * 10 subtract the 1st digit (3 * 10) - 3 = 3 * (10-1) = 3*9 25: 2*10 +5 subtract the 2nd digit (2 * 10 + 5) - 5 = 2 *10 + 5 - 5 = 2 * 10 subtract the 1st digit (2 * 10) - 2 = 2 * (10-1) = 2*9 If you hanve not had algebra yet - the above might not make any sense.
