Hi all,

Just wanted you to know that I will be off from the board for a little while.

A little about Merida

Merida is one of the Andean states and its the one that has the snow cap mountain (the only place that snows in Venezuela), it has the longest cable car in the world.... its not the highest though... its the longest as it has a 3 stations in which one must stop off to get acclimatize with the height.

But being a tourist town it has a lot of "period" villages. So the plan is to visit these towns and take in the site.... I'm planning on taking lots of photos... lol

Just wanted you all to know Very Happy

Thank you all... I did have fun... though it was a very long trip in a bus to & fro.

Did not get to see the things I wanted, but it was fun

We were a group of all friends to this one girl, but we were strangers among each other. However we traveled well and enjoyed the company.

Lol... 25 women and just one poor guy!!!

I have uploaded my pics to the photobucket account... will post the slide-show later!

Welcome back, Sam. Glad you had a good time. I got back from Alabama Monday afternoon. Enjoyed visiting the grandchildren and watching my youngest grandson play football. He is the team quarterback, and a pretty good one for 8 years old (will be 9 this month). On defense, he plays linebacker. He's the fastest kid on the team. My daughter-in-law had her foot operated on last week and will be in a cast for 6 weeks and out of work for 8 weeks. We took her a wheel chair to help out.

Sam,

Wow, that is quite a group. How did you all decide to get togehter for the trip - was it a special occasion for the one you all knew?

Glad you had a good time.
