Has anyone ordered from www.overstock.com? I kind of hesitate to order from any place I don't know.

Repa,

I checked out the link and as you said it had both good and bad. I have ordered from Amazon before so decided to check it out. It has mostly good reports but there are some negative. I guess most sites will have some negative. I think I'll just forget overstock.com. I looked on amazon.com for the item I was looking at and they have it too - a little higher but not much. I have about decided not to order at all but if I do will probably go with Amazon. In doing google searches I happened to find it on ebay also at quite a bit less but I have never ordered from there either, don't have a pay pal account and not sure I want to.

Thanks for posting the link

Fay, I do use ebay, don't have a paypal account, and sell stuff on ebay. I once bought something from a seller that wanted you to use paypal, but sent him an email and told him I didn't have a paypal account, didn't want one and would he take a check or money order. He agreed to that, and said he would ship when the check cleared, which he did. Something to consider.

Repa,

Ok, if I decide I want to get that item then I might consider that. I know nothing about e-bay. Not even sure where to find the sellers e-mail address. So then, did you not actaully order it on the e-bay site - did you just find it there than actually order it thru e-mail?

Thanks,
Fay

You will have to register with ebay in order to conduct transactions and contact sellers. When you click on the title of an item you want to buy, you will get an expanded screen and you will see a block on the right side of your screen that will give you the option to "Ask a question." On the page that follows you may get directed to a 2nd page, or you should find somewhere on that page (or the next if re-directed) a spot that says "Can't find an answer?" with a "Contact seller" button near it. That will be where you will be able to send the seller an email to ask your question.

Repa,

At some point I may decide to do that. Thanks for the information.
