HI treate,

Welcome to the board.

I am a programmer/application developer but am kind of stuck in the past. I was a mainframe programmer for MANY years - but now do program for pc - but mainly in DOS foxpro.

The company I work for is trying to get me into some other things since the system I support will be phased out in a few years. Currently there are switching to C# - but so far I just can't seem to get it. The OOPS stuff is drives me nuts. Also they use EXCEED grid and use SUBSONIC for access the data (sql server). Makes my head spin. May have some questions for you there if I do start tyring to do some devleopment with it. Have you used either the EXCEED grid and or SUBSONIC with C#?

I may start trying to do some development with SQL. I have done a little but very limited. If you know SQL pretty well and if I do get into it more, I may have questions

Will be great to have another programmere here.

Fay

Hi Fay,

Nice to meet you and I have vaguely used EXCEED grid and never used SUBSONIC with C# to my extent. I'm sure we can find out soon Smile

Hi wwe9112, I'm glad to read that you use CSS and I feel it's a very important part in both web pages and web apps. Since you are self teaching yourself on how to do some computer work ,you will absolutely no trouble taking courses in some computer fields. Good luck with it and have fun.

Welcome, Erik, glad you joined us. I'm Repa. Sam (pepperpot) and I established this message board last fall after becoming very dissatisfied with freepowerboards. Your expertise in web development and design, graphics and media applications is a welcome addition to our board. I hope you will feel free to contribute and help when you can. Looks like Ruth could use your help and advice in some of her web devleopment.

Again, welcome, and thanks for joining us.

I'm glad to join too and like to see myself get better at developing web applications in Flex and Flash. Hope to see more people wanting to learn about it cause I feel it's the next big thing in creating websites. I been having trouble understanding why has I import an mxp file into Flex and I see nothing but webdings. lol
