Can anyone explaint to me what tagging a photo (with or without people) is all about. I guess I was first tinking it had to do with identifying the people in the picutre. BUt now I don't htink that is it.

Haven't a clue, Fay. I'll get something that says I'm tagged in a photo, and there's no me there. I don't know what the heck tagging is, and I don't care. I go to Facebook as little as possible anyway. No body talks to me there, not even family, and I've got better things to do than read messages that 90% of the time don't make any sense anyway. The only reason I don't delete my account is because Dave Ramsey and Sarah Palin put stuff on there that is sometimes pretty interesting.

Repa,

Ok, thanks, from what one of the messages on FaceBOok said it looke like maybe it has something to do with making those photos availiabe to the person that is "tagged", not sure how that works though.

Seems like everything is moving toward FaceBook. Still not real sure if that is good or bad, but I am on FaceBook quite a bit. Have reconnected with a number of people. Proably never going to be best firends with those people but is good to at least have a connection. I had lost all contact with people I went to high school and college with and people I had worke with in the past. Is nice to at leat have a connectin.

Not sure I'll ever get it figure out though Sad

Tagging is identifying people in a certain picture. Also tagging people in photos is used for if one would like to make sure certain people sees the photo uploaded.

Lets say... If you uploaded a bunch of photos one day but you would like to make sure I see a particular one... you tag me in it and it appears in my wall... making sure I see it and only our circle of friends would see that you shared a photo with me when to visit my wall or photos.

Hope that helps! lol

And I agree with you Fay... its nice to reconnect with people that where in ones life at some point

Sam,

So it really does have a dual purpose, kind of confusing. Especiall if it is a picture of people, and it is tagge with names of peoiople notin the picutre Sad

Thanks,
Fay
