WC, I don't do any of that stuff. I totally ignore it, don't want anything from HP automatically. I have the service turned off so it can't bother me. If I want something, I go to their website and get it.

Repa,

Do you think it would be of any value to the "Computer Illiterate" such as I??

I'll have to look into it, WC. May take a few days. I'll let you know.

WC, I've given you in posts and in the Tutorial Forum the best advice on Maintaining your computer and keeping it tuned for optimal performance. Ccleaner does a better job than the HP and Windows tools for cleaning your computer of unnecessary files and freeing up space. Use the instructions in Tut#4 ( https://geeksgeeksmoregeeks.forumotion.net/t51-tut4-routine-maintenance-security#89 ) to maintain your computer.

You can probably learn some things that would help you understand your computer better by reading in the Troubleshoot and Learn sections of HP Support Assistant. If you have specific questions about the content of what you read, you can ask. As far as maintaining your computer, I'd stick to Tut#4 if I were you.
