Are you having any problems with SiteAdvisor? I am.....but not sure what to do?

Got 2 screenshots to show my problem:

1. SiteAdvisor Site_a10

2. SiteAdvisor Sitead10

Siteadvisor is taking a long time to reply when I click "GO" to begin the process of getting a reply if a site is OK or not.
The #1 screenshot shows how the site looks before typing an address in the search box. And, #2 screenshot shows the main problem I'm having...which is instead of giving a "green" OK for the site in question, it shows & tells me to try for a site report by typing the address in the box in the upper right....& if I do that it does not do anything at all, just sits there....?

I hope you can help me fix this.??? thanks....

No, can't help. Something is wrong with the site. I've had the same problem for 2 days now. Just keep trying till it works - or not....

Repa,

I remember you saying one time that you did not want to download the Mcafee Siteadvisor software onto your computer....I wonder if you would mind telling me the reason for that?......so I can make an informed decision about it....

With the problem with the siteadvisor site we've been using, we need something to use as a guide for safe websites...& I've been thinking of maybe installing Web of Trust (www.mywot.com) or maybe the siteadvisor download, but I didn't know exactly why you did not want it on your computer??.....We do need something, some sort of guideline.....thanks.....

Web of Trust is recommended by some. The way we use site advisor seems not to work any more regardless of browser used. I've tried both IE11 and Firefox. I don't like using these apps because they affect the performance of the browser. You still have Avast WebRep. If you've disabled it in IE, turn it back on - it gives some warning about the page you have loaded. It is the stair-step-like symbol in the far right corner of IE11 that changes color from green to yellow to red or may be gray indicating not enough information to make a determination, like our message board, for example.

Repa Said: The way we use site advisor seems not to work any more regardless this morning it said "Page cannot be Displayed"  Maybe they're working on it...?

Repa: You still have Avast WebRep  I had to disable mine a long time ago because I was having problems with it.....I guess I can try it again but, unless Avast has fixed that problem I was having, I would still not be able to use it....Thanks......

Ok, or you can give Web of Trust a go and see how you like it. I've read that it is ok.

Not normally, I turned it back on when site advisor went on the blink, but will disable it if site advisor is working.

I was looking every where for Avast WebRep before siteadvisor started working again & couldn't find it to enable while siteadvisor was down....and I still haven't been able to locate it for some reason....I've clicked on everything I've found within avast but don't remember where I last found it.....My current avast version is 2014.9.0.2006..if you happen to have this version perhaps you can tell me webrap's location for reference?....thanks........
