| Subject: Yahoo Online Games Contain Spyware? 10/14/2008, 22:08 | |
| Here's an interesting article about Games and spyware. One consumer of Yahoo! games decided to read the EULA (End User License Agreement) for a game Yahoo was offering as a free download and found this: http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/10/13/2354251&mode=thread&tid=158 This is becoming more and more widespread. But if you aren't concerned that someone is installing software on your computer without your knowledge, following what you do on your computer, what sites you visit, what your online surfing and purchasing habits are, and that this software is not only spying on you and reporting this to the vendor of the software without your knowledge, but also consuming computer resources and slowing your computer down, then you have nothing to worry about. Here is another interesting, and must read article about today's EULAs that is particularly revealing about Windows Vista and why folks like me refuse to upgrade to Vista or purchase machines with Vista installed: http://what-is-what.com/what_is/eula.html | |

Warning! Beware of Download Manager install request in Ad Bar Under Geeks Logo | 10/31/2013, 16:09 by Repa | Just noticed that when I went to logon that there is an ad under the Geeks Logo that says, "your Download Manager might be outdated. Do you want to install it now?" Don't fall for it! Ignore it!
