I'm sorry that I haven't been around a lot lately! I have a question...I might have another website to create. They want people to be able to write replies. How do I do that? Am I just stupid? Is it a duh???

Ruth,

I know what you mean, but cant think of the name of it at this moment.

But you have to consider the following on the type of "feedback reply" you are looking for:

a) it should have a catpcha sort of thing if its not going to be monitored 24/7
b) the Administrator should be able to see or have a record of the Ip's of those posting

I know what u are looking for, just cant think at the moment Very Happy will get back to ya

Thanks you guys!

Sam, the website for our church, I don't know how, but we have a sort-of "security" thing where the posts have to be approved by an administrator before the public can see it. That's kinda what I was thinking, so not just anyone post.

That website is from Wordpress. I was looking at the free, themes directory. I'm confused, can I download and use one of these templates? If so, how?

I've never downloaded any wed-sites templates Ruth... Wwe is the one to help you there.

I guess you can download the template of your choice then incorporate the format of the Church's particular "feedback page" changing the color scheme and whatsnots

Thanks Sam!

Wwe, should I just download a Wordpress blog theme? Or then again, just anyone can write to it, can't they? What do you suggest? Ideally, I'd like a Wordpress template because I'm familiar with their editing thing. Also, the different posts have to be approved by an admin. Here's our church's site...www.goodshepherdmpls.org

Ruth,
That's a great website... a lot of links, must have took you a long time to create that one. Did you use a template?

Ok, after I poked around a bit I found the feedback page
http://www.goodshepherdmpls.org/2010/09/website-feedback/

If thats what u want can't you copy that page and incorporate it to the new website format? I know a lot of the new programs allows youu to change color schemes and layouts as u copy things

You are using Dreamweaver right?

check these links out

Thanks Sam, but I didn't create it, I just edit it. It was created by a professional. I only wish that I was half as good as she is! She did use a Wordpress template.

I guess that I'm confused...I think that I need to find a template before I create a feedback page. I want it different than the church site, not just copied and changed...make sense?

Yes, I do use Dreamweaver.

I really do appreciate all of your help!! Very Happy

It does make sence that you want it to be different, but its up to what u have in mind

Feedback pages all look alike to me... lol... so what do you have in mind?

Did you look at the 2 links I posted above?

Check this other link... you will find how to do a smple PHP form, a pop out form and another one that enable file uploads
http://www.html-form-guide.com/contact-form/html-contact-form-captcha.html

I understand that many use a pluggin for these forms. Do a search for Feedback forms and you can see if those will give you any ideas
