So how can you tell which websites are suspicious? Download Web of Trust. It's an add-on for Web browsers that helps you know which sites are dangerous.

Avast already gives you this capability for your browsers. If you want additional security, put the following link on your Favorites Bar:

http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/

and paste the URL of the site you are concerned about into the text box of the webpage that comes up when you click on the above link.
