Apple says no way to Java

Apple will no longer include Java in its OS X browser. That's pretty big news. What about Windows users? Well, Windows users should either update or disable Java to avoid malware attacks. Click here for the easy steps on how to do exactly this. >>

If you don't need Java, disable it in in your browsers' Manage Addons, or uninstall it, or use version 6 instead of version 7 until I can research the problems with version 7.

1) I remembered you telling me not to install a version of Java, but didn't remember which one. so, it musta been the version 7.?

2) I received an update notice icon in my task tray after I posted the original post above, and it is for Java 6 Update 35, so I'm assuming it is okay to install it? Thanks.

I just finished reading your reply about above to updating to Java 6 Update 35. I clicked the java icon in the task tray, now it says Java 6 Update 37. Could it have gone from update 35 to update 37 overnite? Is this correct?

Repa, I got the new Java 6 Update 37 installed last nite. I've got my settings on 1) check for updates Automatically
and 2) and Notify me before Downloading.
