Windows Defender Empty
PostSubject: Windows Defender   Windows Defender Empty1/7/2013, 15:07

Got a screen shot of when I opened WD today. After I made the screen shot, & returned to turn it back on, it was already back on, & I then ran a scan, which found nothing.

Please tell me if you've experienced this before, & if you know why it turned off?

Windows Defender Window10

I just realized that since the notice was gone when I finished the screen shot, maybe I need to restart my computer, but, I'll wait to see your reply first.

Windows Defender is on an Automatic (Delayed start) which means it doesn't start exactly at startup. If you clicked to open it too soon after you got to your desktop from reboot, you can get that message. It should start itself within a minute or 2 after that. You can check to make sure Real-time Protection is on by clicking Tools > Options > Real-time Protection, and make sure all the boxes are checked in that window.

Yes, all the boxes were already checked in that window.
