Need Avatars?

Joan has asked about avatar sites. Here is some info:
If you want non-animated avatars, you can make them from your own photos, or any free (non-copyrighted) pictures you find on the web. In the past, either Repa or Keith had a tutorial on how to animate your own pictures (like Repa's Avatar). Maybe we can dig that up (I think I have a printed copy I will look for).

Ready-made avatars you can find here:
http://www.allavatars.com/avatars/ (Though this looks kind of like a teen site to me, there might be something for older generations in there, also). SiteAdvisor is green.
