I got called over to stay with my neighbor last night at about 1 Am while his wife went to the hospital...anyway I was working off a couple of the tutorials to get his computer working better and get some of the issues fixed. He has an EMachine XP Home. I tried to get to the site Jason's Tool Box and it came up a 500 server error. Tried a few different times. Was just curious if it was just me and the computer or if they need to be updated. Question

Just thought you might want to know. Going to bed now...vewy tired

Thank you for that information, Holly. Yes, an update is in order - looks like Jason's toolbox is no longer doing browser security. His site is still there, but looks like he hasn't done anything to it since 2008, and a lot of his links no longer work.

I also need to update Sticky #6 - I've found some new anti-malware programs that need to be added to that tutorial, and a few other changes made. Probably won't get to it for a few weeks, though. If you still have malware on that computer, let me know and I'll send you links to the new applications I intend to add to that tutorial.

no prob the other things worked good and the computer is loading quicker, now if I could just convince him to lose MSN Messenger which is on and active 24/7. That is what slows his computer down on initial start up.
