Oh, I'm so sorry, Fay! I wish I could help you! One thing I did when I bought the Win7 computer (as I had done with the XP also) was I bought a book on the OS. Actually for Win 7 I bought two:" Window 7, plain and simple" and "Windows 7 Inside Out". The latter especially, has been very helpful. I bought them here: http://oreilly.com/
and at the time they had a 2 for 1 deal. You might want to check with them.

I might need to do that. It might help me in the future. But, I don't think it would have helped with these particular problems I am having right now.

I think I decided to get a new computer at a bad time. Also having to learn a e-mail etc for work - and I don't like it either LOL

Got one of my problems resolved last night - or at least hope I did. Was having trouble with some of my foxpro programs. Actually kind of went around the problem, hope it doesn't cause problems further down the line, but at least it seems to work for now.

Still have to decided what to do on the router. Still have to decide what to do about my parallel port printer I don't' want to give up. Hoping that when I pick up the KVM switch from the company it will work. Still have stuff to install.

Gave my self a headache again last night. Maybe when I ever get things all set up I can enjoy the new computer.

Fay, as far as I know, there are parallel-to-USB cables available -
I just googled it, they are called USB Parallel Adapters. Check at TigerDirect www.TigerDirect.com they have everything!

Yep, they exist. But a lot of what I have read seem to indciate they will not work with win 7. Then others say - the OS doesn't matter. So, I don't know. After the trouble I am having with the router I am not sure it will work. WalMart has some on their website - I may order from there so I can just take back to the store here if it doesn't work and not have the hastle of tyring to send something back myself.
I will probalby go into the office tomorrow to get the kvm switch (they are furnishing that) - just hope it will work.
