| Repa, Did you install the new version yet? I got a notice for a new version, &bit said to go to their website and it should get rid of old version.
Should I do it like they said or disable all protection, and download somewhere else. What's the best way to go? Thanks.

| Follow the directions below the download button on the Javacool website to install the new version. Everytime there is a new version you will get the same instructions. Just do what it says. You need to disable the protections and then uninstall Spywareblaster from Add/Remove programs before installing the new version. Be sure you run update after installing to make sure you have the latest protections. | |

| Repa, 1) Got the update downloaded at majorgeeks. When download finished, it said "Downloaded with errors on the page" I think was the quote. I installed it and it seemed to work okay.
2) Should I be concerned about the "Error" thing?
3) I used IE/ with Admin rights download. I don't think I could use DMR's for that, could I? Now that I think about it, I probably could have downloaded it in DMR's???

You should always repeat the download if you get a message like that and not install the one with the error message. You still could be ok though. If you keep the download, make sure your next update works ok and the protections update properly.

I might need to uninstall it and start all over again, because I did notice that after I Ran the installation SetUp, I click the "Check for Updates", and it said "No updates available" So, that was a red flag, because I was thinking that there should have been some updates available. What do you think, probably be a good idea to re-do it all again?

| No, that's normal. When you do the application update, you get all the latest spyware updates with the new Spywareblaster. Wait a few days and try again. If you go for more than a week without getting new updates, then you can begin to be suspicious. | |

| Repa, I still haven't received any new updates as yet, but, it has only been 5 days since the install. But, I checked my files recently, when I remembered that the old version, and this new V4.6, both listed 14962 items in the database.
Do you think that means that when the new V4.6 "Downloaded with errors on the page", that is the reason for the same # 14962 items in the database, as the old version had?

| Try to download updates now. You should have 14986 items in the database. If it doesn't update, disable protections, uninstall Spywareblaster, and download the latest Spywareblaster at Majorgeeks and install it. | |

Warning! Beware of Download Manager install request in Ad Bar Under Geeks Logo | 10/31/2013, 16:09 by Repa | Just noticed that when I went to logon that there is an ad under the Geeks Logo that says, "your Download Manager might be outdated. Do you want to install it now?" Don't fall for it! Ignore it!
