ZoneAlarm and Windows Update Problem

Just a note for those of you using ZoneAlarm with windows XP.
A friend of mine just installed windows updates this morning. After rebooting he was not able to get back onto the internet. He contacted the ISP who told him the problem was due to ZoneAlarm. He then contacted ZoneAlarm and they were aware of the problem. The people at ZoneAlarm told him to uninstall the update from KB951748. He did that and eveything worked again. If you go to the internet and do a search on KB951748 you will find a number of articles regarding the problem.

I don't use ZoneAlarm so it has not been a problem for me. But just wanted to post this in case some of you might be affected.

I used to use ZoneAlarm on our desktop computer with Windows XP. We had similar problems as your friend, so I uninstalled it and installed Comodo, I think (it was a while ago)...on Samantha's recommendation.

Thanks for the info! Nice to know that it wasn't just me!
