| Repa, Please take a gander at this screen shot, and see if you know what it means? | |

| Not a big deal, but can be an annoying problem. Do the following to see if it goes away:
1. Set a restore point. 2. Run ccleaner Registry option. 3. On the menu bar of IE8, select: Tools, Internet Options, Privacy Tab > Advanced button. 4. Under Cookies, check Override Automatic cookie handling. 5. Under First Party Cookies, select Accept 6. Under 3rd Party Cookies, select Block. Click Ok, 7. On the Internet Options pane, select the Advanced Tab. 8. Under Browsing, check the following if not checked: a. Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) b. Disable script debugging (Other) 9. Under Browsing, uncheck the following if checked: a. Display a notification about every script error b. Enable Automatic crash recovery 10. Click ok to exit Internet Options pane.
Go back to the website where you got the error and see if the error message appears. If it does, is that the only website you get this error on? If it is, it is a problem with the website.
Provide the following information here: 1. a list of your IE8 addons. 2. a list of the items checked in msconfig Startup tab.
After I review the above lists, I’ll get back to you if there is anything further that you need to do.

| Repa, I haven't had a chance to do the above instructions yet, had planned to do them this weekend. I was on some of those website pages a couple times since I posted the question the other day, & did not get that message again.
I assume that it would still be a good idea to go ahead & follow your instructions anyway, Correct?

Repa wanted a list of the items checked in msconfig Startup tab Please Refresh my memory of how to do that in case I can't remember? I think I type msconfig in the "RUN" box, I'll try it.

| 1. Registry is fine. 2. Disable the following IE addons: HP Network Helper, Bing this in Windows Live Writer, HP Network Check, 3. and if you don’t use Hotmail, disable Windows Live ID Sign-in Helper. 4. Msconfig is fine

I think you meant HP Network ("Check") Helper,
And, Bing ("Blog") this in Windows Live Writer, didn't you?
How would I know to disable those addons, such as those? Thanks

Yes, the images were hard to read.
How would I know to disable those addons, such as those?
Google them and decide if the time and resources it takes from IE is worth it and serves a purpose and function that you are interested in having. The fewer addons that are running in your browser, the better it will perform. So you have to decide if the addon is worth it or not, does something you have or have no interest in, or if it is something that is less than desirable to have on your computer, as many BHOs are. The internet is full of answers to questions. You just have to ask them.

Warning! Beware of Download Manager install request in Ad Bar Under Geeks Logo | 10/31/2013, 16:09 by Repa | Just noticed that when I went to logon that there is an ad under the Geeks Logo that says, "your Download Manager might be outdated. Do you want to install it now?" Don't fall for it! Ignore it!
