Lotus

Just a question. What is Lotus? It was in a job description. I Googled it and got some about the flower but also about different types of Lotus and what I got was it is used for messaging and documenting? Is that right? Just curious. I am sure if I get the job they will teach me, but was just curious.

I think there used to be a spreadsheet called LOTUS 1-2-3 that some people mused instead of EXECL - like some people used word perfece intstead of word. But that was a long time ago - and I haven't heard of it in a long time.

I remember Lotus 123 the same as you, Fay. Never used it. It is a spreadsheet that was used in older versions of windows to enter and format spreadsheet data. In addition, 1-2-3's Web tables allowed users to bring live Web-based information into the spreadsheet to perform analysis functions.

and a free download is offered, but you have to get an IBM ID to proceed, which it looks like they provide a way to do that.
