Repa,

I went to majorgeeks to install the latest Ccleaner in IE. Every time that I want to install some App in IE nowadays, when MG's takes me to the download page, IE drops down the box that says it prevented the download for security reasons, that's not verbatim, but, you know what I mean. When that happens, if you remember, it always says "Done, but with Errors on the Page"

1) How can I prevent that box from saying that?

2) Or, is it not a good idea to stop that function? But, if the box is allowed to drop down & prevent the App from downloading, how can you possibly do the download, with "Errors on the Page"?

3) I finally switched to Firefox and and got it, but, I would like to know how it is done?

Click on the drop down bar near the top of the browser page where it gives that message and at the end of the message says "Click here for options" and then click "Download File" on the drop down menu that appears.

I did that, but it still said "Done, but with Errors on the Page". That's why I changed over to Firefox and did the Download. I thought maybe there is some way to disable that message, but, that might be unsafe.?

Doesn't it do the download? Don't you get a box that gives you the option to "Run" or "Save" the download file? What is your Security custom level set to? Tools > Internet Options > Security Tab > Select the Internet Icon and then click the Custom level button.

I don't know what to tell you until you answer my other 2 questions above.

Yeah, got the download box, but didn't use it because, as I mentioned, it said "Done, but with errors on the page. And, I remembered from another time, you told me never to use if it says 'Error", so that's why I did not use..

Well, apparently I misunderstood you before - thought you were saying you got the message "after" the download. That message has to do with the rendering of the webpage, not the download. The download should be ok. Click the Save button and do the download and update.
