Repa,
Spybot updates usually come out on Wednesday. After the download today, I ran the Immunize. The update from 2/08/12, last week, listed the number as 337026. Well, after the update today, the number was only 260654, which is less than last weeks update.

After the System Restore, I tried the Update again hoping for better results. Nope, results are the same lower number.

1) I've had this happen before, have you?.

2) I don't know what to do about it, or why it happens? Do you?

3) Should I reverse the system restore, or just leave it?

In my Spybot Update today, it was the same as the 2/029/12 update, after the install and the immunize. On 2/029/12 update the Items # was 260739, and today's was 260739.

Just thought I'd mention it. Doesn't make sense to me. After downloading 2 updates on the list, and the coverage number does not increase, seems to me like one would not have the proper protection?

When you start the immunization, you need to look at the list on the immunization page under the top bar to see if there are numbers other than zero in the column to the left for IExplorer and Firefox. Those are the Hosts file updates, not the malware proteection updates. It's possible you just got the malware definition updates and not the Hosts file updates.
