I think you can plug the usb stick into any usb port and it will boot, but haven't tried doing that since I boot from the dvd and all my computers have 3 usb ports. What I do know is that the system will recognize usb devices and load the drivers for them, regardless of whether you use the same usb port or not from one time to the other.

OK thanks. At some point I just need to try it and see what happens. Hopefully it will work regardless of which port I use.
