Getting to make your images pop-up in a new window (browser):

Quote :
When you click on a thumbnail picture on some site. If a new browser window opens, sometimes it's too small, sometimes it's too big.

At the link below it teaches us how to make the function so that the pop-up window (Autosizes) conforms to the size of the PICTURE being loaded. A picture has a fixed height and width, so it can be done with pictures.

Here is an Online code generator that can help a bit:

This code generator will make a script that you can add to your page using the Insert HTML Element which will pop up a window for you. Enter or select the values below and click 'generate code'.

Here is one that enables arbitrary links or image thumbnails to pop up an enlarged (different) image onMouseover by using this CSS code.

Sometimes is best to not use javascript for the simple reason that most people might have their Java turned off... so in the end the effect will not work for those viewing the website.

One does have to create two sets of images for each photo, a thumbnail size and the large size. They can be either stored in one image folder or separate folders.

I personally would go with the formula given at Dynamicdrive.com - they also shows how to make this same effect when creating the images in a gallery form

Hope this helps
